TRACKLAYING - PANDROL FASTCLIP
Installation with Machines

A number of machine types are available for mechanised clipping of track and their features are described below:

High Output Track Renewal

An automated clip-driving module is added to the rear of the relaying train. When the module senses that it is correctly positioned then either four or eight clips can be driven simultaneously, depending on module type.

Fully fastened track emerges from the rear of the train. Extra machinery or manpower to fasten the track at the rear of the train is completely eliminated.

The Plasser and Theurer type SMD-80 track-laying machine, shown here working on Jernbaneverket, features an integral clip-driving unit.
