Pandrol, in Their Words...

Professional, leaders, successful and diverse.

Career history

I am based at the Worksop site. Having worked at Pandrol UK for 15 years, I have climbed the ladder from Metallurgical Technician, to Metlab Supervisor, then Deputy Laboratory Manager, to the position I hold today.

My role today

I manage the day-to-day operation of the combined Laboratories, together with the Research and Development Laboratory. In a nutshell, my role sees me allocate tasks and resources according to priorities in support of new product development programmes – ensuring that they comply with customer specification.

Challenges & achievements

My biggest challenge is liaising between external test facilities, customers and authorities to meet deadlines and, managing constantly changing priorities.

Securing the position of Laboratory Manager and achieving Chartered Status through the Institute of Materials are my proudest moments to date – neither of which would have been possible without Pandrol’s support.

Strengths & aspirations

I would say I am organised, a good communicator at all levels, experienced within all areas of laboratory science, professional and I’m a team player.

I see myself working at Pandrol for many years to come. I’m keeping my eye on how the business develops and what opportunities arise for me as a result.

Why Pandrol?

Pandrol’s global status and market leading position are what keep me motivated and proud to work for the organisation. The support Pandrol has given me for my own personal development has helped me achieve my professional goals. There is a huge sense of pride and satisfaction for me when a new product is marketed with multi-million pound contracts secured as a result!

Life outside work

Outside work you will find me watching or playing sport or at the theatre.
