Engineering, challenging, reliable and established.
Based at Pandrol’s Thailand office, in the heart of the City of Bangkok, I joined the team following an opening for a General Manager in South East Asia. Previously my role for CDM was based in the Middle East.
Besides the daily management of the Pandrol office in Bangkok, I focus on tasks relating to the sales of our award winning fastening system and AT welding. I also focus on cross-sales of other Pandrol Group product lines such as Pandrol SRS, Vortok and Rosenqvist.
I have had to adapt to working in a new environment in a different culture, following moving to South East Asia from the Middle East. I am faced with a great deal of competition in the area, forcing me and my team to permanently think outside the box, keep an eye on long-term market evolutions, whilst also securing short term business. I see these elements of my job both as challenges and achievements.
One of my biggest strengths and certainly the biggest strength of the company, is the emphasis placed on technical capability. I am very proud to be able to give our customers technical advice and I value it immensely when customers ask me for my views. I believe this demonstrates a real understanding that Pandrol is seen as a leader in its field and that this thought leadership status will help future-proof our business.
I also pride myself on my expertise in setting sales strategies, contract negotiations, P&L management, vibration isolation systems and tramway track systems.
I find it fascinating to bring technology into projects which are at the forefront of today’s International macroeconomics. Urban rail projects are a key factor of change in how we live our lives today and cross border railway transportation of goods and passengers is key to today’s International political alliances and new trading routes. My role allows me and my team to be at the forefront of such evolutions.
Outside Pandrol I enjoy reading, travelling and taking part in sport!
