Tie Layer SL450

This carrier-mounted attachment is designed for high output tie laying. Correct placement of ties is ensured by the SL450’s precision gauging hydraulic system that spreads the ties to the desired spacing, which can be set at 300 – 750 mm.

Its telescopic frame makes the Tie Layer compact and safe to operate. Thanks to its unique linkage system, the centre of gravity will not change during spreading.

The SL450 works in a hydraulic sequence and no electric is required on the carrier machine. The machine grabs hold of the ties from the side and is suitable for use on slab track or where the track bed must not be disturbed.

Due to its compact design there is no risk of the unit hanging over adjacent track when grabbing ties from a rail cart. The unit is prepared for both rotation and tilt rotation, and is easy to adjust to fit most types of ties.
