Pandrol is like a big family and I love that vibe.

My name is Emerito Arago and I have been working in Pandrol since August 1996. Being my first and only job since arriving in Australia 3 months before starting, I have witnessed Pandrol evolve overtime. For example, I experienced the company shift from manual forging to robots, and from gas pre-heat furnaces to induction furnaces. Through this, Pandrol has transformed to become the more sustainable and efficient powerhouse it is today. During this time as well, Pandrol has remained a great employer and put its people first. I started as a Machine Operator (Forging) to now a Team Leader and Quality Control Operator where I also make the turn-out pads. I work under the great management of Pat Mahony where trust and cohesion within the team always ensures we get the job done.
As mentioned, Pandrol is my one and only job since moving to Australia. Having stayed for the past 28 years and counting expresses my contentment, gratitude and feeling of security in Pandrol. It has catered for me, allowed me to progress and provided a productive place for me to continue to support my family.

I began my career at Pandrol in September 2022 as a Product Testing Technician Apprentice while studying mechanical manufacturing at the University of Sheffield.

Pandrol has provided me with numerous opportunities that I wouldn’t have experienced anywhere else. I’ve been able to pursue my degree, attend multiple training courses, and contribute to many high-priority projects.

The company culture at Pandrol is incredibly supportive. From day one, everyone makes you feel like part of the team. Additionally, colleagues go out of their way to help you achieve your goals, whether work-related or academic.

L’un des projets les plus importants a mes yeux, fut le déménagement de Raismes a PTF2. Nous avons tous ensemble réfléchi, construit, réorganisé et optimisé les ateliers de production et le magasin, pour non seulement faire preuve d’efficacité mais aussi pour que chacun membre de PTF2 se sent serein sur son lieu de travail, propre au valeurs de Pandrol.

L’arrivée de la caténaire rigide début 2024, a été un gros challenge pour moi, il a fallu réintégrer les nombreux composants au sein du magasin et revoir notre système d’assemblage. Cela nous a permis de nous diversifier et d’ajouter une corde a notre arc.

Fifteen years ago, when I joined Pandrol China with great expectations, I was probably a little shy. Looking back, 15 years have passed like a blink of an eye, and I have become an older worker and growing together with the company from a shy newcomer. The 15 years have not only witnessed my growth and progress, but also deeply imprinted my deep feelings for Pandrol China. I am honored to be a part of this big family, and I am extremely proud of it. In the future, I will continue to work together with everyone and contribute my share to the Pandrol’s prosperity and development.
