After a period of collaboration and product discussion, Qingdao Port signed with Pandrol China for the supply of Porttech fastenings for its new automated terminal. The terminal is jointly funded and built by Qingdao Port Group and DP World, and will be the world’s first leading fully automated container terminal in Asia.
Porttech Fastenings, which are specially developed by Pandrol Spain for automated terminals in high speed service, have been successfully applied in BEST Terminal in Spain. In collaboration with Pandrol Spain, Pandrol China conducted the research, development, and production, and continues to support the customers of Qingdao port. Porttech Fastenings were chosen for their excellent performance and maintenance free quality.
The Porttech system is designed to support large loads applied onto the slab system making it ideal for use in crane rail applications. The system arrives on site pre-assembled making the installation process simple. The system is exceptionally adjustable with a lateral adjustment of + 15 /- 45 mm and a vertical adjustment of 80 mm.
