What are Floating Slab Mats products and how do they work?
Floating Slab Track Systems work on the mass-spring principle: the concrete slab acts as the mass, elastically supported by a continuous resilient mat acting as the spring. Its elastic properties are set by track and train design, material, thickness, number of layers and shape factor, so performance can be tuned project by project. Supplied in rolls or sheets for installation in single, double or more layers, with no closing joints between adjacent mats, The floating slab track system achieves vibration attenuation up to 25 dBv with a low resonance frequency across the most critical frequency ranges.
