Monobloc Electrical Weld Shear EME1/EME2

Pandrol’s Monobloc Electrical Weld Shear Explained

During aluminothermic welding, a deadhead of excess metal remains above the rail head. This was traditionally removed manually with a hammer and chisel. The Monobloc Electrical Weld Shear automates this process and removes the risk of damaging the rail while ensuring smooth results. Two hydraulically operated blades on either side of the rail move and cut off the excess metal. The shear is powered by an embedded electrical hydraulic pump to carry out shearing jobs fast and precisely.
