What does your role involve?
I monitor and analyse Pandrol’s competition to shape our future evolution and success. I talk to colleagues, work with consultants on research projects, capture data and make hypotheses. I have been involved in assembling and communicating our four-year strategy plan and am also working on the development of a new CRM (customer relationship management) solution.
What do you find most challenging about your role?
The global nature of Pandrol makes working here challenging and rewarding in equal measure. With 1700 colleagues across every continent, there are diverse approaches and issues to take into account when planning and implementing strategy.
What are your key strengths?
I am analytical and able to see things from different perspectives. I also love working collaboratively, listening to colleagues in order to understand their motivations and needs.
What do you like most about working for Pandrol?
Everybody is really accessible and open – there’s a very non-hierarchical mindset and you can collaborate as easily with top managers as regular colleagues.
What do you like to do outside work?
I love travelling – during the pandemic I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to rediscover my own country! I love walking in nature, sports, art and spending time with family and friends.
