e-Clip
e-Clip is Pandrol's proven spring-steel clip fastening system, with decades of successful service around the world. The self-tensioning, threadless design delivers consistent clamping force without the need for routine torque checks, helping infrastructure managers maintain safe and dependable track performance.
What are e-Clip products and how do they work?
The e-Clip is Pandrol's original elastic rail clip, patented in the 1950s and still setting the global standard for self-tensioning rail clip fastenings today. This non-threaded, ballasted rail clip fastening system uses two elastic rail clips, two rail shoulders, a rail pad and two rail insulators, manufactured to one global standard for consistency. Its spring-steel construction delivers permanent elastic clamping with strong creep and twisting resistance, making it ideal for continuously welded track on wood and concrete sleepers. Tension is achieved simply by inserting the self-tensioning rail clip into a lug parallel to the rail foot, so you get consistent clamping without manual adjustment.

The Pandrol e-Clip DRS uses a double-resilience baseplate, combining two resilient elements to reduce ground-borne noise and vibration transmission. It's the right choice for non-ballasted track where vibration control matters, such as tunnels, bridges or track running close to sensitive structures. Pad stiffness, baseplate fastening and corrosion protection can be specified to suit your environment.

The Pandrol e-Clip SRS is a non-bonded, low-profile variation of the e-Clip system, fully insulated for reliable electrical performance. It gives excellent stray current protection, making it well suited to metro and urban transit networks where signalling integrity depends on consistent insulation. As with the standard e-Clip, pad stiffness, baseplate fastening and corrosion protection can be tailored to your track.

Supporting Singapore's Growing Transport Network with Resilient Railroad Solutions
Land Transport Authority, Singapore / 2020
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore wanted to improve the connectivity between northern, central and eastern parts of the island. To achieve this, in 2014 it announced plans to extend the country’s MRT system with a new line – the Thomson-East Coast Line.

Did you know?
There are more Pandrol clips in service than there are people in Europe. Over three-times the amount to be precise. We have 3 billion clips in use and Europe has a population of around 750 million.
