Resilient Pads and Mats
Overview
Pandrol’s range of under-sleeper pads and under-ballast mats can reduce the lifecycle cost of your railway and help to fulfil vibration attenuation requirements for ballasted track. They are easy to install, maintenance-free and compatible with all types of ballasted track design.
Under-sleeper pads and mats work by reducing peak load and increasing the contact area between wheel and rail, distributing stresses evenly. Stress reduction between ballast and sleeper, and punctual force from the wheel reduce wear at all track component levels, mitigating vibration and noise.
